Tri-M is a nationally recognized student honors society under the umbrella of NAfME.

Tri-M Music Honor Society is the only national music honor society for students grades 6-12 in the USA. Tri-M is about musical leadership- whether you are a Grade 6 soloist or last chair cellist, Tri-M is the home for all students who believe music is a gift that should be shared! Tri-M is a national organization that seeks to support school music programs AND connect with the local community to share music with people of all ages. With nearly 70 high school and middle school active chapters across the state of Maryland, getting involved is just an email to your music teacher away!

North Hagerstown High School Tri-M Senior Chapter #9034 Advisor: Dr. Jeannine Sturm (MODA President Elect) North Hagerstown High School Tri-M Chapter was chartered in 2022 with 15 members, over the next few years membership has steadily grown to over 25 members. The group has become more and more student run with several major events throughout the year. With a Fall Coffee House fundraiser, they raised over $600, another fundraiser selling wooden roses during Valentine’s Day week, raised close to $700 between teacher and student sales. Then they held a student run Talent Show run exclusively by the students and judged by the administration, staff, and Tri-M president. This event raised another $500! They also held a county wide general council meeting for Tri-M officers within the district to share ideas with one another. The members are so proud of their support of music events at North Night and for being selected as the state chapter of the year two years in a row!
