Overview

Building on successes from past virtual events, we anticipate hosting hundreds of educators from across the United States and beyond for professional learning with this virtual conference.

We are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive community in which participants and members of all backgrounds can access events, programs, services, and be treated fairly. Harassment, discrimination, prejudice, or bias in admission, employment, volunteering, or administration of its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, political affiliation, ancestry, or military service will not be tolerated.

 

Theme
Refresh, Rejuvenate, Retain: Practices for the Coming Year

What lessons have we learned from the pandemic that will propel us forward as we continue to recover? Hear from expert teachers on ways that we continue to recover, recruit, and retain students. 

 

Strands
Sessions aligning with the conference theme should be targeted to one of the following content areas:

  • Band

  • Chorus

  • Emerging Practices

  • General Music

  • Higher Education

  • Orchestra


Timeline

  • June 1: Call for Proposals opens

  • June 22: Call for proposals closes

  • June 22-30: Review process

  • July 5: Notification of selected presenters

  • August 4, 2022: Summer Virtual Conference
